Source: American Water Works Association (AWWA) Denver - The fifth edition of the American Water Works Association’s M11 Steel Pipe: A Guide for Design and Installation is now available. M11 provides technical information to aid in the design and installation of steel pipe and fittings for potable water transmission and distribution.

USE Provides restraint for mechanical couplings on steel pipelines.
SIZES 6' - 144' for steel pipe. Other sizes available.
WORKING PRESSURE See submittal.
RESTRAINT RINGS This weldment is manufactured from ASTM A 36 Steel with a minimum yield stress of 36,000 psi. Two rings are required, on each side of the coupling.
TIE RODS High tensile alloy steel per ASTM A 193 grade B7. Type 304 or 316 stainless steel available on request and requires twice as many rods.
COATING Bare, unless otherwise specified.

Joint Harnesses specified per AWWA M-11 are designed to restrain flexible couplings on steel pipelines. The harnesses will be supplied bare steel to allow for field welding into place. Sizes available 14” – 96”. Larger sizes available on request. Adobe acrobat 8 professional windows 7 64-bit.
